Every article on Water Damage Answers goes through the same research steps before it is published.

We start from questions people really search for, grouped so that each page answers one distinct problem. Related questions become the sections and the FAQ.

2. Read the best available sources

We read the current top pages on the topic and, most of all, primary sources: agencies such as the EPA, FEMA, CDC and NOAA, the National Flood Insurance Program, state insurance departments, industry standards such as IICRC S500, building codes, university extension services and manufacturer manuals.

3. Check every number and link

Numbers must match a named source. Every outside link is checked before publishing. We do not link to restoration companies or other lead generation sites.

4. Review before publishing

A separate review step reads each article like a homeowner would, checks facts against the sources and sends it back for fixes if anything is unclear, unsafe or unsupported.
